Killarney Heights — Merbau Pool Deck

Killarney Heights — Merbau Pool Deck

Killarney Heights, 2087, NSW — 2025

Merbau pool deck with low profile frame built in Killarney Heights on Sydney's North Shore. Extreme joist was specified due to the close proximity to ground level — it costs a little more but will far outlast the standard pine subframe of the previous deck we replaced. A long-term investment for a beautiful pool surround.

Mosman — Blackbutt Pool Deck

Mosman — Blackbutt Pool Deck

Mosman, 2088, NSW — 2025

140mm wide Blackbutt pool deck in Mosman. Half the deck is low profile, requiring extreme joists for longevity close to ground level. Soil washing was occurring under the deck, so timber sleepers were installed to protect the frame from ground contact — a practical solution that extends the life of the subframe.

Frenchs Forest — Composite Deck, Stairs & Bench Seat

Frenchs Forest — Composite Deck, Stairs & Bench Seat

Frenchs Forest, 2087, NSW — 2025

Composite deck and stairs built over sandstone to maximise the backyard for a busy family with young children. The stairs were carefully designed to keep access to the rear of the house clear, while an integrated bench seat gives the parents a spot to watch the kids in the pool. A louvred pergola completes the outdoor living space.

Killarney Heights — Composite Pool Deck with Louvre Pergola

Killarney Heights — Composite Pool Deck with Louvre Pergola

Killarney Heights, 2087, NSW — 2022

Composite pool deck wrapping a kidney-shaped pool in Killarney Heights. Sea Salt Grey composite boards complement the travertine coping and provide a low-maintenance, slip-resistant surface around the pool. A gable-roof louvre pergola with frameless glass panels creates a sheltered entertaining area directly adjacent to the water.
